Thanks Pinterest!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Okay, so technically this SUPER SIMPLE process makes dulce de leche, but it tastes close enough to caramel, that it really could go either way. It is SUPER delicious! Did I mention it was simple, because it is! I'm not even calling it a recipe, because really all I'm giving you are instructions. The crock pot and the fridge do all the work in 3 SUPER SIMPLE steps. I think you get it. ONWARD!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">All you need is:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">1 unopened, label-removed can of sweetened condensed milk</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">a crock pot</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">a fridge</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Step 1:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Submerge the can of sweetened condensed milk in the crock pot in water. Make sure it is completely covered!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxD0vKlRuc3Mo31HR3q-WlbDt3075xEjPr6JxlIJ2Gf3OcB6vTVIGIjD_Ppu9OwjEHFHa4VSXIApvpcxF7t2RQYQaKk151tqt7A6aPWSlNPzF3NDeuVdK6Dy_OJtVXxwVaGhodx1pk0TE/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxD0vKlRuc3Mo31HR3q-WlbDt3075xEjPr6JxlIJ2Gf3OcB6vTVIGIjD_Ppu9OwjEHFHa4VSXIApvpcxF7t2RQYQaKk151tqt7A6aPWSlNPzF3NDeuVdK6Dy_OJtVXxwVaGhodx1pk0TE/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></span></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">SUBMERGED! COVERED! Got it?!<br /><br /></span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Step 2:</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Turn on the crock pot to the low setting and let it do it's thing for 8 hours!</span></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIDWZnq6zYdN75xTFE0gkRBJZAqILrPeoYgdPpi3UoqdS0ZGp9JSUpnfRN7C0LcHwDu9rQi0jD2dBeBtEiwwVyVi3v4_xDgH_GR1o0psc2RM0vsAVwTGj7DWHSqy6BrwGi3jQT_dBKdtA/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIDWZnq6zYdN75xTFE0gkRBJZAqILrPeoYgdPpi3UoqdS0ZGp9JSUpnfRN7C0LcHwDu9rQi0jD2dBeBtEiwwVyVi3v4_xDgH_GR1o0psc2RM0vsAVwTGj7DWHSqy6BrwGi3jQT_dBKdtA/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></span></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I promise the can will not blow up. Mine was fine. No sign of combustion 8 hrs. later.<br /> </span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The can will show slight sins of rust, but obviously that's going to happen. It won't affect the finished product. No worries.</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Step 3:</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">After 8 hours have passed, place the can in the fridge for 2 hours. Be careful! The water AND can will be hot. Use tongs or something. I'd suggest drying the can off first as well.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">After 2 hours have passed:</span></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUkFSQQ3D7C5LGSFkArb9GBhc0cQfDDWScaod-GxqaDY3jKM9RUL_F7UW4Gl6Zc2a4VMeRYsR9NPv2LXqE0rsG9-MrLzmU-Ib9K_2zK8oWEUvNRyuZ0n8u0F1tptW4Z98CGKQf4zlbtZs/s1600/photo+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUkFSQQ3D7C5LGSFkArb9GBhc0cQfDDWScaod-GxqaDY3jKM9RUL_F7UW4Gl6Zc2a4VMeRYsR9NPv2LXqE0rsG9-MrLzmU-Ib9K_2zK8oWEUvNRyuZ0n8u0F1tptW4Z98CGKQf4zlbtZs/s1600/photo+4.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></span></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Dulce de leche goodliness!</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Voila! You have a wonderfully yummy can of dulce de leche that tastes pretty much like caramel. It isn't spot on, but I wouldn't mind drizzling some of this over ice cream, or brownies/blondies, cookies, etc. It is so good, and you get SO much if it! </span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I placed the lot of it in a plastic Tupperware-type tub and put it back in the fridge. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So cheap too by the way. All it takes is a can of sweetened condensed milk! Any size! So wonderful!</span></div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I haven't been feeling well today. I went to bed AND woke up with a migraine, and I already took medicine yesterday when I got it, so I have to wait 24 hours before I can take more (which is SOON, thank goodness). So I decided to make myself something SUPER unhealthy, but I have decided that since it is a single serve delight, that it isn't so bad. </span><br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I got the <a href="http://lacreativitedelafille.blogspot.com/2012/06/single-serving-deep-dish-chocolate-chip.html" target="_blank">recipe</a> from something I pinned forever ago and have been meaning to try. Sophie over at My Happy Place is where whoever pinned it first. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Are you ready? It is an amazing Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie! The recipe creates a single serving in a microwavable bowl, ramekin, or mug. However you decide to make it. She makes it in a ramekin, I made it in a mug. I don't own ramekins, but I've always wanted to invest in them. Gotta get on that. The mug worked wonderfully though. I didn't fret over the ramekin issue, because I've been meaning to try a single serve mug recipe again (I tried mac and cheese in a mug, and it turned out okay. I've been meaning to try it again). </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">This taste just as good as a freshly baked cookie, hot out of the oven. So rich and baked just right. The dough even tasted like cookie dough before hand (it is a single serving, I am SO allowed to taste the dough right out of the mug of MY creation ;D).</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">so perfect!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Doesn't that look just... heavenly?! And because it was SO easy, the only problem is making sure I don't go and make myself another one!</span><br />
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Since I'm still not feeling great (at least my head isn't, my tummy is VERY happy) I'm gonna tell you to use the link above to go visit Sophie for the recipe. I don't feel like typing it out. Time to go lie down and count down the minutes until I can take more migraine medicine. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

Let me introduce you to:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Thanks to <a href="http://www.thatssomichelle.com/" target="_blank">this</a> lovely lady blogger, Michelle, I was introduced to this wonderful monthly beauty subscription. For just $10 a month you can get a box full of amazing beauty samples for women (there is also a men's Birchbox option). With every box comes about 5-6 different samples ranging from make-up to lotions to hair products, etc. I have become absolutely OBSESSED! I have been telling all of my lady friends, and they all agree that for $10 a month, it is SO worth it. And if you absolutely cannot live without more of whatever sample you received then you can go to <a href="http://www.birchbox.com/" target="_blank">Birchbox</a> and order a full size container of the product. So here I am to share with you 4 of my favorite samples I have received so far from both boxes.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">This little 1 oz. container is made with sustainably sourced African shea butter. Basically it is heaven in a bottle for dry, cracked, wintery hands. Super rich and creamy, this specific bottle also smells like bananas! Bananas & Baobabs is the name of this little whipped tub of heaven and for just $18 you can get a 19 oz. jar. No lie, this is going on my Christmas list NOW! What a deal!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Last, but certainly NOT least, my all-time favorite "sample" from Birchbox yet. I quoted sample, because you obviously can't make a sample size of a mascara (at least I don't think you can, but you probably can, but that's okay because I am sososo thankful for this) so Birchbox sent a full size tube of mascara in this month's Birchbox and I am forever grateful because to buy a new tube of this would run you $24. I have promised myself to use this beaut a little as possible, to save it for only the most special occasions because I can not and may never justify buying a $24 bottle of mascara, no matter how wonderful it is. This bad boy's description starts out "Falsies without the fuss". In the formula are tiny lash-extending fibers to give you a wonderfully lengthy fringe. It also has a little mirror on the tube so you can use it on the go, even if I most likely will not.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I adore Birchbox. I adore make-up and beauty products, so for just $10, I can justify this wonderful subscription, especially if I am going to get a $24 bottle of mascara along with 4 other wonderful product samples. I am thankful for Birchbox this season.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am also thankful for Jesus. This past Sunday I made a huge step in my life. I got baptized. Like most people, I was baptized as an infant, and unlike most people I was baptized again at about 6 years old. Both of those baptisms were decisions made by my parents, which I am forever grateful for, but this time I made the decision for myself. When I was younger, I didn't understand Jesus' story and what he did for me that day on the cross. I just thought getting dunked in a pool was cool, and just agreed with whatever the Pastor told me because I thought it was the right thing to do. This time I knew it was right because I felt it was right. I've been going to a church that was right for me, that I have loved since the first time I walked through the doors. </span><a href="http://www.liquidchurch.com/" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;" target="_blank">Liquid Church</a><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> is a contemporary Christian church that accepts anyone no matter what your past. Learning Jesus' story made it so much easier for me to tell mine. I knew I would be accepted there, and it was extremely overwhelming, yet exhilarating to take that step. I shared my story, Pastor Tom said some wonderful things about me, and then he and Pastor Dave, with their hands in mine, baptized me in the Holy Hot Tub in front of the whole congregation I heard a massive applause accepting me and my story, and then saw a flash of a camera take my picture.</span><br />

Thankfully this is not because it broke down and died, but because my father and I went to the Toyota dealership near us and got me a lovely new-to-me '07 Toyota Corolla.</span><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Out with the old. In with the new!</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">The new color: Sandy Beach. It just sounds comforting and relaxing, not something to stress about. Not that green is a stressful color, but my Sable was an old car. He didn't have a lot of miles for a '95, but he wasn't very reliable, and not so good on gas either. It was just time for me to get a new one. My father and I decided it would be best to do it now, rather than wait for the Sable to one day die on me and leave me car-less all of a sudden. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Enter my lovely new-to-me Sandy Beach Corolla. We got her the Saturday before we got rid of the Sable. I love her. She has air (the Sable didn't), she's great on gas (35 mpg highway), and she's beautiful. Of course, she's also reliable, which is even better! I love her. I'm addicted to driving her. I find any excuse to go somewhere just so I can take her for a spin.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I miss the Sable a bit. He got me from A to B, but I started to just get sick of him towards the end. He was a boat, and didn't have air, and was just not nice to look at. His last act though was a generous one. He got me an extra $800 off the Corolla when we traded him in, which was definitely unexpected, but very helpful. Joshua and I drove him over to Toyota the Monday after we got the Corolla. It wasn't emotional. It was exciting. I loved him, but I love the Corolla so much more, and I am excited to have moved up in the world of automobiles.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I am so proud to be the owner of a beautiful 2007 Toyota Corolla, and because Toyota's are known to be so reliable, I am absolutely so excited and so thrilled to have her for a while. I'll keep her for as long as she'll last me.</span></div>

Go check out her blog, Whatever I Want, <a href="http://www.lovesconesbloggings.blogspot.com/2012/08/holy-healthy-pancakes-batman.html" target="_blank">here</a> and check out the blog where she found the recipe, Blogilates, <a href="http://blogilates.com/recipe-index/100-natural-pancakes-recipe-gluten-free-flourless-low-calorie" target="_blank">here</a>! I literally just made them this morning, and could NOT wait to blog about it that I just had to do it NOW!</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">All you need are 2 simple ingredients, that you probably already have right now:</span></div>

When pouring myself a glass of milk, I noticed some sparkling letter stickers on top of the coffee pot. The coffee pot that only my father uses. They spelled out MEDS. I couldn't help but think "How clever?!". My daddy left himself a reminder on the coffee pot so that he doesn't forget to take his medicine every morning. Looks like I got my crafty side from daddy. Here's a picture to show exactly what he did:</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I just could not help bragging about my incredibly clever father. So smart.</span>chellydmohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00992328525025160160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434689940000682200.post-69904631383506099392012-08-22T09:44:00.004-04:002012-08-22T09:44:53.153-04:00FOUND MY CAMERA<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I finally found my beloved Olympus Tough TG-310! And it was in the most obviously hidden spot... my car! Here's the story:</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Two days ago I was cleaning my car out (because HOPEFULLY Daddy and I will be going car hunting on Saturday!) and as I was reaching over my bench seat to get to the old water bottles on the floor of my backseat, I spotted the oh so familiar camera case. It was in the pocket behind my front passenger seat! It has been with me this WHOLE time! I purchased it back in March after falling in love with my cousins on our Florida vacation because this little gem is waterproof to 10ft AND shockproof to 5 ft. </span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Of course, with my luck, I "lost" it all summer and did not get a chance to use it for the coolest feature I bought it for. I am not dwelling though, because luckily it is still August, and there is still some summer left! My cousins are down this week, and we have a nice little lake over by grandma's house where we will probably hang out today, so I'm excited to get some use out of this baby.</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpJPApht9WoftacOEGJ2hKMwDJJpXZPzdc5ucTYiIlzM4O151WNkQ0Ds9Ap0zYmBDxTrRK3rOZn9vbTYpAul6eUHcbkjuz4gvmtU1ZY5tbrWJshdcl7R-17muiOPVBKPU9vxbtjdKh58/s1600/photo+(1).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJpJPApht9WoftacOEGJ2hKMwDJJpXZPzdc5ucTYiIlzM4O151WNkQ0Ds9Ap0zYmBDxTrRK3rOZn9vbTYpAul6eUHcbkjuz4gvmtU1ZY5tbrWJshdcl7R-17muiOPVBKPU9vxbtjdKh58/s320/photo+(1).JPG" width="240" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So happy!<br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Don't mind the terrible picture above. I took that with my phone, because I obviously couldn't with the Olympus.</span><div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">ALSO, the discovering of my camera could not have come at a better time! I have the most AMAZING idea for a new project I am going to start on right away, but it is a secret! I will be able to document every part of it with my Olympus now, instead of my phone, so the pictures will be 10x better, and it'll be a lot easier on my part! It might take me a while to actually finish said project, because it is a pretty big project, but I am confident that I will pull it off wonderfully. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Here's hoping! Wish me luck!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now, where was I? Oh yes! LUSH! If you haven't heard of this company or any of their products yet, then you MUST go to their website <a href="http://www.lush.com/" target="_blank">here</a> and check it out. All of the products I have purchased and used (except for one) I have absolutely adored! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">At LUSH they believe in creating fresh, organic products with only fresh and organic ingredients. They hand make every single item, and they'll even tell you when it was made when you purchase the item (either in the store, or when you receive the product if you made an online purchase) to ensure freshness! They never test on animals, nor do they purchase ingredients that were tested on animals, and all of the ingredients are vegetarian.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Uhh, can you say AMAZING? Seriously, I have never been more impressed with the company. Just that information alone made me fall in love with them, and after trying some of their products, I knew it was true love.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Now let me tell you about a few:</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">1. Fresh Farmacy $9.75/3.5oz. wedge: (No, that is not spelled incorrectly, that IS the name of the product)</span><br />
<img alt="Fresh Farmacy" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/00077.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /> <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> <--- That right there is my new best friend. My life savor. The reason I wake up in the morning. Made with calamine powder, tea tree oil, lavender oil, and other wonderful ingredients, this face wash is my saving grace. After trying countless products to clear up my face of all the acne, this is the only thing to really do the trick. Not only has my face cleared up, it also leaves my skin wonderfully smooth and feeling fresh. Not to mention it smells wonderful. Every morning I just dampen my face and the bar with warm water and I rub it all over until I'm covered in the wonderful wash. Then with my hands I massage it in for about 30-60 seconds until I'm ready to rinse. After rinsing I pat my face with a towel, and I instantly feel fresh and clean. My face is <span _idv_element_hash="6972800" style="background-color: white; line-height: 19.200000762939453px;">über </span>greasy, and after my morning wash, I don't feel greasy anymore, but I also don't feel uncomfortably dry. When they make Fresh Farmacy over at LUSH, they make it in giant wheels, kind of like cheese.</span><br />
<img alt="image" height="200" src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1or7ekhRC1qkcac2.jpg" width="200" /> <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><--- Like that! When you order it online, you get a pre-cut 3.5 oz wedge, like the pictures show. If you go to a LUSH store, you may be able to get one bigger, but you'd end up paying more. That's because in the store they just chop up the "wheel" into different sizes, weigh them, and price them., whereas on the website, the price is the same because they're making specific cuts to make the online purchase easier. No matter what though, it is worth every penny! I first started using the product in May, and today I ordered my second bar because I am now JUST down to my last little bit of face wash. I love it!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">2. Grease Lightning $12.95/1.5oz. bottle</span><br />
<img alt="Grease Lightning" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/02896.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /> <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><--- This guy is the spot treatment I have been using, you can also use to cover your t-zone (if you're face is really greasy) and it sops up all the grease quite nicely. I don't use it too often on my t-zone though, because it dries out my skin, so I usually only use it on stubborn acne spots. It is a little pricey, but just like Fresh Farmacy, Grease Lightning is totally worth every penny. A few organic ingredients include grape juice, sea water, and organic aloe vera extract. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">One of the really cool features I like about LUSH, I found when this guy came in the mail. On the bottle was a sticker with a cartoon picture of the LUSH employee, Susan, that made this product, the</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"> date when it was made, and the Best Before date. I almost felt like I knew Susan when this product came, and I felt even more thankful because of the way they personalized the product. You can tell they really do think about their customers, and want to make a personal connection with them. I felt like I almost knew Susan. And it turns out this was made 2 days before my birthday, as if it was MADE for me! THANKS SUSAN!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">3. Stepping Stone $3.95/2.3oz. bar</span><br />
<img alt="Stepping Stone" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/03122.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /> <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><--- Now I don't know about you, but my feet aren't the prettiest parts of my body, so this is where Stepping Stone steps in (see what I did there?) to save the day! Made up if jojoba oil, lemon oil, pumice, and cocoa butter, just to name a few wonderful ingredients, this pumice stone not only makes my feet feel smooth, but it also makes them smell wonderful! Just make sure not to drop it in the water, or else say goodbye to this little guy. He'll dissolve in a matter of minutes! All you gotta do is dampen your feet, and then scrub away OUTSIDE of the water. This product doesn't last very long either, because it tends to fall apart a bit easily, so good thing it is only $4! I also just purchased another one of these today!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">4. Fair Trade Foot Lotion $22.95/7.9oz. tub</span><br />
<img alt="Fair Trade Foot Lotion" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/02143.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /> <span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><--- After I've scrubbed my feet with Stepping Stone, I use this deliciously smelling lotion, and it just ties my at home spa day together. I don't own a whole tub of this though. When I purchased the Fresh Farmacy and Stepping Stone at the LUSH store in AC, the sales girl gave me this lovely little lotion as a sample (Did I forget to mention you get a sample with very purchase, whether it is online or in store. Just another reason to LOVE LUSH!). Because I only have a little sample, I use this a LITTLE AS POSSIBLE because I love it so very much. The mix of peppermint, fair trade cocoa butter, and almond oil make this foot lotion smell just delicious. Not to mention it has been so very easy for me to keep this sample lasting as long as I have (remember I got this in May) because ye ol' phrase "a little goes a long way" definitely refers to the Fair Trade Foot Lotion. It relieves aches and pains after a long day at work, AND the sweet sales girl who have me this sample also told me it isn't just for feet. Put it wherever you feel sore, and it'll to the trick! Of course, since I'm trying to save every last drop of this heavenly lotion, I can't say I've done so.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">5. Honey I Washed The Kids Soap $7.95/3.5oz. block</span><br />
<img alt="Honey I Washed The Kids Soap" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/00482.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> Another sample I have received from LUSH (this time with an online order) was the Honey I Washed The Kids Soap. Some of the ingredients in this body soap are honey water, beeswax, coconut oil, and rapeseed oil, which really make this soap smell irresistibly good. Like honey and caramel had a baby and BAM it became this fantastic soap. It can be used for your hands next to the sink, or for your entire body in the shower. I used it for my hands only because I got a small sample that probably would have been wasted in one shot if I used it for my whole body, although it was very tempting. I will be buying a full sized portion of this very soon. Did I mention it is one of LUSH's best-selling soaps. Need I say more?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">6. Golden Slumbers Bath Bomb $6.35/6.3oz. bomb</span><br />
<img alt="Golden Slumbers" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/02476.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Ahhh, bath bombs. Never will I ever again take another bath without one of these beauties joining me. Whether it is Golden Slumbers here or another one of LUSH's 31 bath bombs, I will never have a boring bath ever again. All you do is fill the bath to your liking, throw in one of the bombs, and settle in for a relaxing, fragrant, and slow experience. This one has lavender oil, lavender sprigs, chamomile oil, and golden lustre in it. I was actually shocked to see actual lavender sprigs popping out and into my bath as the bomb slowly dissolved. I knew LUSH was all about fresh and organic, but this was kicking it up a notch. The golden lustre made me feel like a queen in the bath, and all the lavender and chamomile made me so ready to curl up in bed for a long night of Golden Slumbers. The wonderfully relaxing experience makes me excited for my next bath bomb adventure. The only problem? Which one to choose next?</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">7. Shimmy Shimmy $6.95/1oz. bar</span><br />
<img alt="Shimmy Shimmy" height="200" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod18/dw/image/v2/AAHL_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-Lush-Site/Sites-lushcosmetics-export/en_US/v1344798144717/images/product/01318.jpg?sw=350&sh=350" width="200" /><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><--- This right here is the ONLY product I have very much disliked so far in my LUSH adventures. The description says: Solid body lotion with a <i>hint</i> of shimmer. Why did I italicize hint, you ask? Because that is a severe understatement. Along with fair trade cocoa butter, shea butter, and clary sage oil, this lotion bar is PACKED with pink glitter. When I used it on my legs, the lotion part of it was interesting with the way you had to apply it. You need to warm the bar in your hands so that it'll start to melt and then rub it on your legs. It smelled wonderful, but after all is said and done, my legs looked like the tooth fairy threw up on my hands and legs. Of course, silly me, then decided to put jeans on afterwards, and the glitter transferred all over the inside of my pants. I was a glittery mess! The smell, like I said, was sweet and pleasant, but I would not use this again. I gave the rest of the bar to my sister, who is crazy for glitter, and would probably get more use out of it than I. Thank goodness it cleaned off easily.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Well, there you have it! All of the LUSH products I have used and loved (or not so much). Just one more thing before I'm completely finished with this topic. Whenever you purchase something from LUSH, in the store or online, you get this great catalogue, which looks more like a newspaper, called LUSH TIMES that tells you all about the great products. Not only that, but the employees of LUSH also star in it, telling you their favorite products, and what's new to try out! If you don't want to purchase something just yet, but would like a look at the catalogue you can sign up for a free subscription on the LUSH website. Just look for the link in the top left of the page that says <b>LUSH catalogue</b>.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> They just came out with a make-up line this past month or so, which I have been dying to try out. It is a little pricey though, so it'll take some convincing myself to do so. Maybe if I ever do, you'll see a post about that in the future. ;)</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers out there, and especially to my own father. To show him just how much I appreciate him, as you already know, I decided to get my craft on and make him three, fairly simple projects. Like I stated in my last blog, I found them on Pinterest from a 100 gifts list that was compiled from many different blogs. I made a mustache mug, a vinyl record bowl, and a necktie eyeglasses case. I'll start with the necktie eyeglasses case, or as I like to call it...</span></div>

So here we go...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">First I took a tie that I found at TJ Maxx for pretty cheap, and I cut it 17" from the point:</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Don't mind the casual atmosphere, I had to hide out in my room to do this, and oh hey, there's my kindle on the blog where I found the idea for the necktie eyeglasses case! :P So anyway, I cut the tie, and then needed to remove some stitching that would have got in the way of the project, like that label you can see in the picture. After doing this, it just so happened to open up the whole tie, so I needed to close it back up using a wonderfully ingenious tool:</span><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">How awesome is that?! So I stitched it back together using my new best friend, and let it dry for a few minutes before moving on (the bottle says half an hour, but I got impatient, and it worked out just fine). <span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am not a great sewer (I feel like that's the wrong term... hmm...), so I probably should have used the Liquid Stitch, but I wasn't sure if it would hold all the folds once the project was done, since all of the layers became thicker and thicker as I went. So once I finished sewing over the fold, I then folded over the rest of the tie until the bottom reached the bottom of the long seam running down the back of the tie. Hmm... hopefully the next picture will help with that awful explanation:</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">After I found where I wanted it to sit, I started to sew the sides, while being careful not to sew the pouch where the glasses/anything else will go. Again, my sewing job is NOT pretty. After I finished and showed my little sister (who took a couple fashion classes in high school), she looked horrified, and then told me I should have sewn it to hid the stitching, and then she tried to explain to me how to do that, while my face reflected more and more confusion. OH WELL, next time she can do the sewing if I can't use my Liquid Stitch. After my horrendous sewing was done, I added Velcro:</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">This was SUPER simple, and oh so rewarding. First you take a record that will not be missed (because it will not be playable once all is said and done, I must put this for people out there who are not very bright - like my sister who, YES, did as that question). <span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">This worked out quite well for me, because I wanted something with a cool middle design on the record to add to the bowl. This one had a nice palm tree scene on it, so I was pleased. So, to start you must preheat your oven to 200 degrees F. Preheating is very necessary for this project. After that go fetch a cookie sheet and a metal bowl (that it about the size that you wanna end up with for your bowl).</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Set them up like so. Wait for your oven to heat up, then place the items into your oven for about 8 to 10 min. You want the vinyl to get nice and soft so that it'll be easy to work with. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Now, because I suck I didn't take a picture of what the record looks like on the bowl after the 8 to 10 min. have passed, because the next step needs to happen almost immediately, so I was kind of in a rush. Whoops. So use your imagination and imagine the record looks a bit warped on top of the bowl, and then follow the next direction. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">After the 8 to 10 min. are up, check the record (using an oven mit) to make sure it is flimsy enough to mold. If it is, take everything out (the bowl and cookie sheet are also hot, along with the record, so be careful). Here is where things get a bit tricky, and where I thank goodness Joshua was with me this day, or else I would've been in a bind while trying to do this alone. Take the flimsy record off the bowl, and have a friend flip the bowl, then put the record in the bowl so you can really get it to take shape and make cool ripples, like this:</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">This needs to happen pretty quickly, because the record will harden quickly. If it does to the point where it isn't molding without possibly breakage, then place it back in the oven for a few minutes, and try again. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So, since I had to wait 24 hours until baking, that meant I had to hide it somewhere, and since my room is a disaster area, Joshua and I brought it to his house. After the 24 hours were up, and after we both got out of work and back to his house, we whipped out his toaster oven, set it to 300 degrees F, let it warm up a bit, and set the microwave timer for 35 min.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">After it was done, I took it out (with an oven mit!) and set it down on a pot holder on the counter to cool. After it was cool I checked the mug over and it was perfect, and while doing so I found a neat little piece of information that could have been quite terrible, if the directions on my bottle of pebeo required a higer level of heat for cooking. It said "OVEN SAFE UP TO 450 DEGREES". Well thank goodness I only needed it to be 300 degrees. I guess yesterday was my lucky day.</span><div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Now that my dad has received all of his wonderful new gifts, I am thrilled to say that he loves them! I had taken pictures of him with all three items, but my phone SUCKS and never saved the pictures. I would take new ones, but he's outside working on the house. He's repainting our shutters! The color is "Cherry Tart" by Behr. I'm pretty excited for the new change. </span></div>

I have failed HARDCORE with this whole "blog schedule" so, that isn't happening anymore. I don't know how I do it. I turn something exciting, a new adventure if you will, into another added stress in my life. Well forget that! For now, I am just going to blog when I want, about what I want. Although, it'll still most likely be about my creative explorations (title drop - again!), with a little bit of my personal life thrown in. This blog post was sparked by my very exciting new creative adventure I plan to take on very soon, for I have a deadline this time. That deadline would be: <b>Father's Day</b>. I found some really awesome ideas through my Pinterest which led me <a href="http://www.everythingetsy.com/2012/05/101-handmade-gifts-for-men-diy/" target="_blank">here!</a> Yes, 101 Handmade Gifts for Men. I picked three that I figured my father would appreciate most, and that I could easily do on my own, that will definitely not cost me a fortune to do. I plan on making the mustache mug from <a href="http://fromthetortoiseandthehare.blogspot.com/2010/06/mustache-mug-tutorial.html" target="_blank">the Tortoise and the Hare</a>, the necktie eyeglasses case from <a href="http://threeyearsofdeath.blogspot.com/2012/03/guest-blogger-mens-necktie-eyeglass.html" target="_blank">A Law Student’s Journal</a>, and the vinyl record bowl from <a href="http://www.casasugar.com/DIY-Rockin-Vinyl-Record-Bowl-388078" target="_blank">Casa Sugar</a>. I love love love these ideas because I think my father would absolutely love them, and I cannot wait to see his expression when I tell him I make them ALL! If you love DIY, or want to explore your creative side, then you must go to <a href="http://www.everythingetsy.com/" target="_blank">Everything Etsy</a> (<-- either through this link, or the very first one which will lead you right to the original 101 list) and go through all the great ideas. I also love it because it took me straight to the other blogs where the ideas originated, and I just love finding new blogs to follow and read. So much fun! I cannot wait to go shopping for my necessities. This is going to be so exciting. I promise (seriously) to document and post every single step of all three crafts and blog about them as I go about my Father's Day gifts adventure! Until then, see ya!</span>chellydmohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00992328525025160160noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434689940000682200.post-279515825637350802012-04-23T12:56:00.002-04:002012-04-23T12:56:55.301-04:00All About Mistakes<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Yea, I know. Yesterday was Sunday, and there was no new recipe try-out. Joshua and I were supposed to go on a super special date, but good ole Mother Nature got in the way, and we canceled, so I got super upset, and didn't feel like doing much of anything. So he and I stayed in and watched movie and ate popcorn. There were some tears, because the weather even decided to screw with that, too (the internet went out, and we were trying to use Netflix on my laptop and his Wii. And then the TVs went out because at his house they have Direct TV. So no bueno overall). Luck was just NOT on our side yesterday, so I was not in the mood for cooking or baking or anything. And since today is all about <b>mistakes</b>, I have decided to try a nifty craft I found on Pinterest (<a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/114912227962332941/" target="_blank">here</a>). It is the...</span><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9O-zxFFRw0_MIKoz6C8t73mJTri_ZwqfDY3LUeXROv2coZxWz_DZlNA0B_eyAKR9JMSZ_R0h-mliSrRjZBseexdJa6t4ifVBNUOgTJxZoph1S2EE8Z5eZKfeTG7YxRycOYJ0aVcBJa40/s1600/title.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9O-zxFFRw0_MIKoz6C8t73mJTri_ZwqfDY3LUeXROv2coZxWz_DZlNA0B_eyAKR9JMSZ_R0h-mliSrRjZBseexdJa6t4ifVBNUOgTJxZoph1S2EE8Z5eZKfeTG7YxRycOYJ0aVcBJa40/s320/title.jpg" width="240" /></a></td></tr>

</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">This is an AWESOME craft to try out for very little moolah! All you need are:</span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2EIaE_6Gqs9dlF3oRTJQDWC5_UPB8zxaeabRHN3-7XX9trpj4S9qIrFj6jR7dns1QTurq5oQTITQSh2RNp1tbC6EWHr5k3yPQSGQV-tP1oDhB8MbfxAyQXxua0mqac0EjxZn5Z_NajNI/s1600/P4230002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2EIaE_6Gqs9dlF3oRTJQDWC5_UPB8zxaeabRHN3-7XX9trpj4S9qIrFj6jR7dns1QTurq5oQTITQSh2RNp1tbC6EWHr5k3yPQSGQV-tP1oDhB8MbfxAyQXxua0mqac0EjxZn5Z_NajNI/s320/P4230002.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">A t-shirt (lightly colored, or white). Mine was a plain cotton shirt from Wal-Mart. Nothing special. Make sure to wash it first!</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Sharpie markers. Any colors your prefer to play around with. I stuck with the color wheel (minus Indigo. Sorry Indigo.)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Rubbing Alcohol. I used 70%, other people have using ones with high percentages. I'm not really sure if this matters, so we'll see.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">A cup (mine was a knock off Solo cup). Size doesn't really matter. The circles can <i>sorta</i> be controlled. I'll explain later.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">A rubber band.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">An liquid dropper (I used and eye dropper).</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">And something to put in between the layers of the shirt so the colors don't seep through (I used cardboard).</span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">The only reason I say this is super cheap, is because I had all of these items already. The only thing I needed to buy was the purple Sharpie (because that's the only color I can't seem to find).</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So now, what you wanna do is lay out your shirt and stick the cardboard in between the layers. Then put the cup under the shirt wherever you want to start, and place a rubber band over the shirt, over the cup, like so...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTZUpeRH90qX63ca6PHQJg0KrniQDYl-MUeD8uCFLTPekUU2MHQvnI7mnB8BeJvFS7KEKfly-qgb7vCIYzQIA7T9PwL1WEA27b2smZVzhyphenhyphenZlVC_FXgIVKFVwvWHV4bsYE9BCckg6_KCeQ/s1600/P4230003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTZUpeRH90qX63ca6PHQJg0KrniQDYl-MUeD8uCFLTPekUU2MHQvnI7mnB8BeJvFS7KEKfly-qgb7vCIYzQIA7T9PwL1WEA27b2smZVzhyphenhyphenZlVC_FXgIVKFVwvWHV4bsYE9BCckg6_KCeQ/s320/P4230003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">That stain up there is where I started. Once the cup is in place, take your sharpies and make a design. Keeping in mind if you put the complimentary colors together, they may turn brown when they seep together. I had a color wheel open on my laptop to help me remember which colors those were, because I am not an art student, and the last art class I took was most likely over 10 years ago (Whoa! I'm gonna go curl up into a corner now. Where's Neverland?!). Also, make sure the material is tightly banded to the cup. The more taught the material is, the faster the rubbing alcohol will spread.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once you make your design of choice, take your liquid dropper, fill it with the rubbing alcohol, and drip it into the middle of your design, like so...</span></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtWvd7A7OfamjeCcFKxz3kHmKtaAEGs34Pw-7TXWdFdPaO-2hyphenhyphenpY-mVesgSGlaeDee_jAwKl1hcXomyk8yiL0KMXTAVgkoVz3UArLeycwFI9Ssx5i-eS3JrfqCMihRwVJC6RTYU_qz0rM/s1600/P4230007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtWvd7A7OfamjeCcFKxz3kHmKtaAEGs34Pw-7TXWdFdPaO-2hyphenhyphenpY-mVesgSGlaeDee_jAwKl1hcXomyk8yiL0KMXTAVgkoVz3UArLeycwFI9Ssx5i-eS3JrfqCMihRwVJC6RTYU_qz0rM/s320/P4230007.JPG" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">Since my dropper was so small, I dripped a lot of drops on one design at once. For bigger droppers, use less drops. </span></span>
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Here is where you can also kinda, sorta control the size of the design. Less drops means smaller design. More drops mean bigger designs. That along with out taught the material is will slightly add to the size. If you like the size, take the rubber band off. This will slow down the spread of the rubbing alcohol, and eventually stop it at your desired size. It will most likely continue to spread, but not as much as it was when the shirt was being pulled tightly.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once you are done, you will need to heat set it. I'm gonna go throw mine in the dryer for 1 hour on high heat, BY ITSELF! You don't want the colors to stain anything else. Also, I would let it air dry for a bit before tossing it in the dryer, because you want the colors to set where they are. If it is still wet, the colors might seep through to the other side, or combine when bunched up. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">The reason this is called <u>All About Mistakes</u> (besides my schedule oopsie) is because this craft is all about just that, making mistakes. We had him for a very long time. It has probably been a little over 10 years, and I just didn't feel right creating a new blog post without saying something about him. I cannot pretend like it didn't happen. This house will not be the same without him greeting me every time I walk in the door. Without him practically begging to be fed way too early in the late afternoon. Without him waking me up too early in the morning to let him outside, because everyone else is a heavy sleeper and does not wake up by just hearing his feet click on the hardwood floor. Here is a picture of him & the place where he now rests peacefully:</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Now onto a much lighter topic. My scent obsession! Bath and Body Works carries it, and I own <i>almost</i> every product in the one specific scent. It is... Japanese Cherry Blossom!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjiDkAx23xpOj7bk4HAppAEawbObv6nlMVZIUQyNYo2Juynzl-jS51FuM7nj8tT9MhEvbI_dgcSus51EMtpru4ss75Q_CFQM1Ip6VxekIKA9rXRU84GlYN1Cs9eIbaYcUhwEu8ngliRqA/s1600/JCB.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><img border="0" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjiDkAx23xpOj7bk4HAppAEawbObv6nlMVZIUQyNYo2Juynzl-jS51FuM7nj8tT9MhEvbI_dgcSus51EMtpru4ss75Q_CFQM1Ip6VxekIKA9rXRU84GlYN1Cs9eIbaYcUhwEu8ngliRqA/s320/JCB.png" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I am absolutely obsessed - no, addicted - to this "exclusive, award-winning fragrance" (quoted from the Bath and Body Works website & products), and all of the products they offer. From left to right, the products that I own and love are the:</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Shimmer Gel & Body Lotion - It has 2 compartments containing the lotion in one side and the shimmer gel in the other. On top of the bottle is a really cool "select-a-shimmer" dial where you can choose more shimmer or more lotion in your wonderfully scented mix.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Perfume or Eau de Toilette - I don't use this as often, only because it has a higher concentration of fragrance oils for a more intense scent, like most perfumes do. I save this for special occasions.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Fine Fragrance Mist Travel size - Or better known as body spray. This is necessary for me to have on hand because the spray is my favorite product of the line, and I go through it like crazy in the original size, and the travel size helps me to refresh this wonderful scent when it starts to wear off.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Cooling Mist - 100% a MUST for summer. It contains aloe vera to help cool, refresh, and condition skin after a day of sitting in the sun.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Body Lotion - Containing vitamin E, jojoba, & shea butter, this wonderful lotion makes me feel smooth all over while matching (not clashing) the seductive scent of the spray that I'm already using.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Last, and definitely not least, the Fine Fragrance Mist original size - This bad boy (or girl I guess) is what made me fall in love with this scent in the beginning. The breakdown of the scent is as follows:</span></li>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Top Notes: Asian Pear, Fuji Apple, and Ume Plumb</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Mid Notes: <b><span style="color: #990000;">Japanese Cherry Blossom</span></b>, Butterfly Lily, Kyoto Rose, and Mimosa Petals</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Dry Notes:
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 15px;"> Vanilla Rice, Imperial Amber, Silk Musk, Cinnamon Incense, Himalayan Cedarwood and creamy Sandalwood</span></span></li>
</ul>
</ol>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">Inspired by the exotic gardens of Japan, this scent is seductive and mysterious, and that, my friends, is why I adore this entrancing scent. It is sweet, yet strong. Feminine, and bold. I usually have the body wash in my collection (to complete my morning bathroom routine), but I recently ran out, and haven't had a chance to get to the mall to replace it, so for now I use an unscented wash, so not to clash with the Japanese Cherry Blossom. I also use an unscented shampoo and conditioner, so that they don't clash either, because I spray my hair a couple times since hair tends hold scent better than skin.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="line-height: 15px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">And there you have it. My second blog on one of my all time favorite products: <b><span style="color: #990000;">Japanese Cherry Blossom</span></b>. Now to go shower and get ready for work.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="line-height: 15px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><span style="line-height: 15px;">What's your favorite Bath & Body Works scent?</span></span></div>

I have finally joined the blogging world. I knew I always wanted to, but never knew what to do. Not too long ago, a lovely website called <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/" target="_blank">Pinterest</a> came into my life, and I have been pinning, and pinning, and pinning non-stop since. Everything from recipes, to clothing, to wedding inspiration (I'm not engaged, just obsessed with weddings). I decided to tie my new found obsession in with my new blog. So every Sunday I am going to pick one of the fabulous recipes from my Pinterest, try them out, and blog about it. Throughout the week, I plan to do random blogs about the crafts I come across on Pinterest, and also talk about some products that I just simply adore.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Before I do that, though, I feel an introduction is in order. My name is Chelsea. I live in New Jersey, and I am 21 years old. At the moment I am not going to school, but I do have my Associates in Liberal Arts. I plan to go back to school soon for Interior Design. I am the beauty associate at Kohl's, and I also work at the jewelry counter there, too. I have a wonderful boyfriend, named Joshua, who I have been with for 3 wonderful months (today!). I love love love music, and I also love to read.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Today I tried out something <i>I</i> like to call Drunken Munchkins. I found the AMAZING idea <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/114912227962308180/" target="_blank">here</a>. I changed it up a bit for myself though. Instead of cherry Jell-o and spiced rum I did two different flavors. I tried Amaretto with grape Jell-o and Malibu Coconut Rum with lime Jell-o.</span><br />

<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtaa04N_l9azhe-xvUuuoGSl7AKio9k8IrEHluQ6wnWbno-FAvnug3ynai9gW8lT420vb2hEvBr86HdWUvMn5ai2fjZmwEHGXFCYCIy40xdKj53J9E5v_v63WnBSNhawsEjkATa4wvWHQ/s1600/dm.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtaa04N_l9azhe-xvUuuoGSl7AKio9k8IrEHluQ6wnWbno-FAvnug3ynai9gW8lT420vb2hEvBr86HdWUvMn5ai2fjZmwEHGXFCYCIy40xdKj53J9E5v_v63WnBSNhawsEjkATa4wvWHQ/s320/dm.png" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: xx-small;">look closely! see the green & purple!?</span></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Here's what you'll need:</span><br />
<div>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 box of pre-made munchkins or donut holes</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 box of flavored Jell-o of your choice (or two if you plan to do two different flavors like I did)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 cup of any flavored liquor of your choice (preferably something that makes sense with whatever flavor Jell-o you're already going with, like my coconut & lime and Amaretto & grape) (and again, or 1 cup of 2 different liquors if you plan to make 2 different flavors)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1 cup of water (to boil for the Jell-o)</span></li>
</ul>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Now this can get a bit messy, but can be soooo good:</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">First follow the first direction on the Jell-o box, boil 1 cup of water and add the Jell-o packet. Stir until Jell-o is dissolved.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">While the water is boiling, prep your munchkins by placing 24 on a paper towel lined cookie sheet and prick holes in them (we used a meat thermometer to do this).</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">When the Jell-o is cooled add the cup of liquor and mix. Pour this in some sort of spouted cup or measuring cup to make it easier to get the Jell-o mixture in the pricked holes.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Carefully (this is where it can get super messy!) pour the Jell-o mixture into the prepped munchkin holes. This is where I made a super huge mess, and thank goodness Joshua is super smart because he mentioned putting a paper towel down under the holes, just in case.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Once you've gone through all of them, do it one more time, so that you really get the flavors in the munchkins.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you do make a mess like I did, transfer the munchkins (hole side up) to another paper towel lined cookie sheet.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Place the munchkins in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Enjoy responsibly!</span></li>
</ol>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I love the color in the munchkins when they are all done and ready to eat. And you can really taste the yummy flavors. I do love the coconut lime one the most, but that's probably because Malibu Coconut Rum is my very favorite rum out there.</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I truly hope you enjoy these as much as Joshua and I did. Not only are they delicious, but they were really so simple and quick to make. I don't really think you'll get all that drunk off of them, because they aren't soaked in the mixture, but they do taste yummy, and as always be careful anyway, because the alcohol is definitely there. It wasn't cooked or baked out. The Munchkins were pre-baked, so we basically only injected them.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Any questions, don't be afraid to ask!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">xoxo,</span><br />
